ST PATRICK COLLEGE EMENE
Dear Parents/Guardian,
Compliments of the season. We thank God for the journey so far as we gradually conclude the first part of this term. It was a six weeks of full time engagement in teaching, learning and holistic formation. Within these few weeks, activities in the college produced the following result:
1. Orientation of JS 1 students and smooth opening of new 2017/18 academic session
2. Successful admission of students into various classes.
3. Improved hostel management with the introduction of auxiliaries as hostel masters
4. Improved meals for students and the introduction of meat in their meals with the killing of a big cow
5. Introduction of mentoring program especially JS 1 students
6. Wonderful performances in external competition especially in winning the governorship trophy at Okpara square on October 1st 2017
7. Good image with external institutions like WAEC. On Thursday 19th October, the exam body chose our college as host to all the principals of Enugu state. The aim was to sensitize and train all their stake holders on WASSCE yearly CASS (Continuous Assessment Scores). It was a celebration that attracted even the commissioner for education. We played a very good host. Almost all the 500 participants expressed satisfaction on the beautiful outlook of the college.
8. Maintenance culture or renovations is almost a culture which we have resolved to continue. We renovated the roofs, the electrical installations, doors and windows of our hostels and corps members lodges
Please take note of the following:
1. This mid-term break is from Friday 20th to Sunday 29th Oct 2017
2. Students are expected to come back that Sunday before 5pm. Failure to do so will merit one week suspension
3. Projects given to students must be diligently done during the break period and not after the break. Monday 30th Oct all projects must be submitted to the various teachers concerned. Remember each project carries 10 marks.
4. Students owing will no longer be tolerated after the break. Make effort to clear your debts
5. Any form of incompleteness on the side of students’ uniform and other personal effects will not be tolerated.
6. Please students should endeavor to use our beloved STUDENTS HANDBOOK for their private prayers during the break time and to refresh their minds on our rules and regulations.
7. We are very hopeful that students will put up good behavior at home because we gave them enough formation to make that possible.
Kindly accept my deepest regards. We will never rest until success is achieved.
